Manipulation of the filmic form allows for recontextualizing an image's very nature. The House is Burning draws a connection between the landscape and the memories embedded in it. Memories can serve as a point of reference and positionality in certain places. In urban studies, the concept of lived space refers to the geography shaped by human experiences and daily interactions with physical spaces. I often tend to romanticize the spaces around me; and I yearn to belong to something.
